This is so interesting, thank you so much for sharing Tim, didn't know that! I also read a while ago that boredom is more of a western concept, and that in Buddhism is non-existent. When I went on my spiritual path, during the years I lived in China, I took the concept of boredom out of my vocabulary. I am not sure how or when it happened but it was a wonderful feeling. Having gone back to my country though and being surrounded by people who kept on complaining of boredom, it started resurfacing for me as well, although a milder version of it.

Mindfulness, gratitude and altruism are great tools to have a boredom-free life. Thank you for such a great article!
