Celebrate yourself. How far you’ve come, where you’re going, your accomplishments, Your courage, and your strength.

We all give ourselves pep talks at different times throughout our life. Whether it is part of our daily motivation to get out of bed or to start exercising. Or whether it is when we change direction by taking on a new job, starting a family, or starting our own business. It ultimately all comes down to: You can do it. You are worthy of it. You are so going to nail this!

It comes down to believing in yourself. In your abilities and worthiness.

I give myself a pep talk almost daily, especially ever since I’ve read Mel Robbins’ book “The High 5 Habit”. Giving myself a brief daily pep talk is extremely motivational, even if sometimes I don’t feel like cheering myself on in the mirror and then high-fiving myself. But after I have done it for a couple of months, I can wholeheartedly say it has been a game-changer.

My daily brief pep talk, most of the time sounds like: ‘Raluca, you can do this. You’re gonna crush this. No matter how this day is going to go, at the end of it, you’ll know you’ve done your best.’

If I change lifelines and there is a major event I have to mentally prepare myself for, I usually tell myself: ‘I believe in myself. If I hadn’t been ready for it the Universe wouldn’t have presented me with the opportunity to do it yet. I am brave, I am confident and I am going to do my best.’

Staying positive doesn’t mean you have to be happy all the time. It means that even on hard days you know there are better days to come ahead.

It is about knowing what you are dealing with internally and that feelings are fleeting. If today you are feeling low, that shall pass. Honor, respect and enjoy the highs and sit with the feelings and see what you can learn from them when you are feeling low.

Of course, social support is always more than welcome but in the end, you are the only one who can make yourself go for it and no one else.

Realize the road is not going to always be smooth but that’s what makes the journey more interesting. Having self-compassion is key to befriending your fears and challenging or uncertain times. The way you talk to yourself makes all the difference.

So, be kind to yourself and be your biggest cheerleader. It will make a huge positive impact on your mindset and on the way you show up for yourself and others in the world.

If you’d like to share, I would love to know what does your pep talk sound like and how often do you give yourself one.

P.S. If you have stumbled upon this article at a moment in your life when you were in need of a pep talk, consider it a sign that you are on the right path and that you CAN do it. You can achieve everything you put your mind to! Believe in yourself and good things will come!🦋
